Organizations seeking qualified candidates for all types of employment opportunities (full-time, part-time, seasonal and internships) will find a valuable central point of contact in Career Services at Penn State New Kensington. We will utilize all campus resources available to attract qualified applicants for your positions and work closely with you to implement an effective information and recruiting effort on campus.
Job & Internship Postings:
Job Fairs:
Penn State New Kensington students and graduates participate in numerous job fairs throughout the year including those sponsored by Penn State University Park and local consortia groups. Upcoming events can be found on our Job Fairs & Career Events page.
Internships, Part-time, Seasonal Needs:
Post your short-term employment opportunities and internships to the Penn State New Kensington just as you would for full-time positions. Career Services will circulate announcements about these opportunities as they appear. Each year, we assemble a directory of internship information as a resource for use by all students.
Some of the majors on our campus require an internship for degree completion. If your part-time or summer job opening might qualify as an internship for academic credit, we will work with faculty to reach students who may be interested in doing an internship with your organization to fulfill their degree requirements.
On-Campus Interviews:
By working with Career Services, you may interview candidates in a private room on campus. Depending on the number of positions you are recruiting for and the type of candidates you are seeking, we can design an interviewing set-up and schedule that meets your needs.
Information Sessions:
Some organizations choose to set up an information table in our student Café to display recruiting literature and meet students. Career Services can also make arrangements for you to meet with classes or campus groups, give presentations on job search topics, promote your career field or organization, and establish a positive presence on campus.
Penn State's Southwestern Region:
Comprised of Beaver, Fayette, Greater Allegheny, New Kensington, Shenango and DuBois campuses, the Career Services offices in this region collaborate on initiatives and work together to provide employer services. By working with all six campuses you will expand your candidate pool as well as increase your organization's visibility.
